Tony Chennault is seeking to fund a second season for his web series Oldhead .
The first season tallied over 300,000 views and was such an inspiring force in the City of Philadelphia that Chennault felt it warranted a second season.
The web series is an online web series that highlights the culture of Philadelphia, while promoting the importance of Mentors and giving back to your community. An Oldhead is the soul of every community in Philadelphia. They are the teachers, mentors, and parental figures of the Philadelphia culture. Without their guidance and presence, we would not have Philadelphia icons such as Will Smith and Kevin Hart. Influential male authority figures helped shape these two individuals, providing them with the proper mentorship to become successful. A Kickstarter will be launched on October 24th to support the second season.
Following the release of the second season, here is Chennault’s plan...
After the completion of this season we plan to conduct a Oldhead school tour; visiting different high schools and middle schools throughout the Philadelphia community. During these visits the cast and crew will partake in a workshop geared around different socio-economic issues, that these kids face daily. Each cast member will be required to speak about their experience growing up in Philadelphia and some of the adversity that had to overcome in their teenage years. This school tour will give the youth throughout the Philadelphia area a sense of hope. That anything is possible if you’re truly willing to work hard and make the necessary sacrifices it takes to be great. Visit Oldhead at: Facebook , and Twitter
