The Big East has some pretty good freshmen basketball stars

Villanova Mug Arizin Links

Happy Tuesday! Light news day, so let's talk about the rest of the Big East. It's looking pretty good, and it should remain that way going forward because it looks like we've got a new crop of stars in the conference, and that's not even including our favorite victim Omari Spellman.

SB Nation took a look at some freshmen making waves and the Big East repped a couple - Shamorie Ponds from St. John's and Myles Powell from Seton Hall. Both have looked excellent. And since they didn't include redshirts, let's just call out Justin Patton from Creighton and the Johnnies' Marcus LoVett as well.

Fun times!

And now, the "news."
