Villanova Football got some good news on Friday morning when local defensive back Jaquan Amos verbally committed.

Amos is a 6’0” 175 lb. safety from Northeast High School in Philadelphia. He held offers from a host of Villanova’s CAA rivals including New Hampshire, Stony Brook, Albany and Maine.
As you’ll see below, Amos has a knack for the ball from his free safety position and isn’t afraid to come up and lay a big hit in run support. He looks like a perfect fit in Villanova’s defensive scheme which demands a lot from it’s safeties.
