When rumor came out that Villanova would be playing American, I had the #SuitWatch lede for that game already planned and it would revolve around one of my favorite TV shows. Alas, a simple tweet by AP reporter Dan Gelston sunk my Kerri Russell line, so we’re jumping straight in...
On Wednesday night Jay Wright’s Villanova squad won their 18th consecutive game with a 42-point victory over American.
Wright was found on the sidelines in a charcoal suit with faint striping. Underneath, he donned a light gray and white striped shirt. He finished off the look with a blue & paisley tie and a perfectly matching striped pocket square.

VU Hoops Jay Wright #SuitWatch Rating
(4.25/5 Esquires) I think Villanova fans take for granted how well Jay Wright dresses. His expertly matched pocket square and tie show confidence in a of mixing patterns in the same color palette; something not many coaches even try to pull off. Let alone succeed.
