Jay Wright Suit Watch: La Salle

NCAA Basketball: Villanova vs La Salle Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Villanova faced its third consecutive Big 5 game on Tuesday night as the Wildcats traveled to the campus of the University of Pennsylvania to face the La Salle Explorers at The Palestra.

Jay Wright treats the Philly competition with respect and his look for the penultimate game for ‘Nova in this season’s city competition displayed that respect.

Nova’s head coach took to the Palestra sidelines in a perfectly-fitting navy blue pin strip suit. Underneath, he expertly switched up patterns and went with a micro-dot white shirt and an dark-blue based individual paisley tie. The tie is where Wright went wrong as its navy was noticeably off-color from the suit.

A white pocket square completed his look.

If the look seems familiar, take a peak at what Jay wore in the 2016 National Semifinal game against Oklahoma.

VU Hoops Jay Wright #SuitWatch Rating

(3.5/5 Esquires) We love the mix of patterns; pinstripes, micro-dots, and paisleys, but ay-yi-yi... the mix of those blues brings this look down.
