Undefeated weeks usually are a good thing for the pollsters. Jay Wright's Villanova squad took care of business on Sunday at Madison Square Garden in their only game of the week as the Wildcats beat St. John's by 15. In concert with losses by Iowa and Texas A&M last week, 'Nova has returned to the Top 5 being placed at the #3 spot in the newest AP Poll.
Oklahoma remains the top team in the country gathering 45 out of 65 first place votes. North Carolina is also ahead of 'Nova as Maryland and Iowa round out the top 5.
The BIG EAST is also represented in the poll by Xavier at #6 and Providence at #11.
Villanova was tabbed at #4 in the newest USA Today Coaches Poll.
