Things look pretty good for the Big East right now. Villanova is still the #1 team in the country, and while the 'Cats may not be the top overall seed, they will likely get their choice of venue if things hold steady. That said, they've got a tough one coming up ahead against Xavier, which could shake things up for both teams.
That said, win-or-lose against the Musketeers, Villanova will have an argument for a spot on the top line. If Xavier can grab the marquee win they are missing, the Big East could be looking at two of the top seeds this season. Some projections have five teams from the conference making it into the field. The Big 12, Big Ten and ACC could all get more teams into the field by current projections, but five out of ten isn't bad, only the Big 12 is currently looking at a better percentage than that.
To the projections!
