We're a superstitious group so our reaction to Jay Wright's attire from Wednesday's game shouldn't surprise you.
The #1 Villanova Wildcats traveled to Cincinnati for a mid-week tilt against the #5 Xavier Musketeers for the first Top 5 game in the newly configured BIG EAST conference; one that would see Nova lose its first game as the nation's top-ranked team.
Jay Wright took to the sidelines of the Cintas Center in a fantastic deep charcoal pinstripe two-piece suit that featured wood-grain hardware. A solid choice for the occasion. Underneath, the Villanova head coach donned a gray broad stripe. He matched that with some non-describable tie that had yellow, green, blue, and purple floral designs; an uncharacteristic move by the usually sartorially-splendid coach.
The look was polished off with a tie-bar and a lavender pocket square.

VU Hoops #SuitWatch Rating
1.75/5 Esquires: Wright went with a smart look and a detailed suit. The tie bar, shirt, and pocket square were nice, but the overall look is greatly depreciated by the tie selection.
