Patrick Lawler adds another big body to the Villanova offensive line depth chart in 2016.  He gave the Wildcats his commitment in mid-January after deciding that the school was the best fit for him academically and athletically. Today it was announced that he has officially signed his National Letter of Intent.

A 6'7" and 270-pound lineman from Braintree, Massachusetts, Lawler played on both sides of the ball at Thayer Academy. He chose Villanova over offers from New Hampshire and Stony Brook. Head coach-in-waiting Mark Ferrante developed a close relationship with the young player during his recruitment.

He was named to the Massachusetts High School Football Coaches Association (MHSFCA) All-State team as a senior and was rated two-stars by Scout.com, and made their list of top-10 prospects out of Massachusetts.

Villanova has looked to add more talent to its offensive line in the 2016 class. Lawler could find himself starting within a year or two.

Depth Chart (* denotes walk-on)

Class Name Height Weight
Senior Jon Green 6'2" 315 lbs.
Senior Brad Seaton 6'8 310 lbs.
Senior Jake Prus 6'6" 300 lbs.
Junior Matt Donoghue 6'4" 280 lbs.
Junior Alex Coren 6'2" 280 lbs.
Sophomore Keegan Sheedy 6'4" 255 lbs.
Sophomore Louie Csaszar 6'3" 305 lbs.
Senior Nico D'Angelo 6'3" 280 lbs.
Sophomore Ethan Greenidge 6'4" 345 lbs.
Sophomore Brandon Hitner 6'6" 285 lbs.

Villanova returns most of its starters from the 2015 season, so don't expect Fallon to start right away unless he really impresses the coaching staff. Still, he's another high-quality addition to a unit that has to perform well every week.

Welcome Patrick to 'Nova Nation!
