Jay Wright Suit Watch: Oklahoma

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Jay Wright had his Villanova Wildcats playing in the school's first Final Four since 2009. With a trip to the National Championship on the line, the squad left no questions in their preparedness as the 'Cats shot 71% from the floor in their FORTY-FOUR point victory over Oklahoma. However Jay's look for the main stage wasn't as on-point.

Wright took to the NRG Stadium court in a perfectly-fitted navy blue two-piece suit featuring white pinstripes. Underneath, he expertly switched up patterns and went with a micro-dot white shirt and an dark-blue based individual paisley tie. The tie is where Wright went wrong as its navy was noticeably off-color from the suit.

He finished off the look with an NCAA Tournament lapel pin and an enlarged blue gingham pocket square that was again a color of blue off.

VU Hoops Jay Wright #SuitWatch Rating

(3.5/5 Esquires) We love the mix of patterns; pinstripes, micro-dots, and paisleys, but ay-yi-yi... the mix of those blues brings this look down. Jay has one more look for the season and it will close out this Villanova Business Trip in Houston.

9/5 Esquires for luck.
