Some good news this week from the always reliable Adam Zagoria - 2017 small forward Jordan Tucker is planning a visit to Villanova in May. Tucker, a 4-star prospect who plays for Stepniac (N.Y.) and the NY RENS on the EYBL circuit, has held a 'Nova offer for over 2 years. The 6'7" wing is a great shooter, and would fill a big need with Kris Jenkins and Josh Hart (if he returns) set to graduate.
Tucker is using the downtime from AAU to set up visits, and Villanova getting one would be a big deal. Tucker has talked about visiting Villanova in the past, but it hasn't come to fruition. He's already tripped to Indiana and Syracuse, and will visit Maryland soon as well. He unofficially visited St. John's this past season and is familiar with the Red Storm given his proximity.
Getting a visit from Tucker indicates there's some real interest on his side to explore Villanova. Recently he's talked highly of both St. John's and Syracuse, and Indiana seems to have made an impression as well. Jay Wright seems to have a little bit of ground to make up here, but he'll get his shot.
Currently we're in the Quiet Period until July 5 with the exception of the Dead Period from May 19-27 - look for Tucker's visit to happen outside of that range so that he can meet with the coaching staff while on campus.
