Malik Fisher, a rising senior from Xavier High School (N.Y.), has picked up an offer from the Villanova Wildcats, he announced on Twitter.
Great way to start off my summer yesterday by receiving my first offer from Villanova University \\// pic.twitter.com/VRCpqxMZea— Malik Fisher (@mo3_lyfstyle) June 10, 2016
Fisher is a 6’3” 220 pound athlete who plays primarily as a defensive end in high school. He’s a rangy athlete but is currently a bit undersized to play the position at the college level. Given his solid frame, you’d expect him to fill out further and Fisher could end up playing as a hybrid pass-rushing DL/LB, similar to how Austin Calitro has been utilized for the ‘Cats.
Given that Villanova is his only offer thus far, this looks like a recruitment to keep an eye on.
