Wide receiver Julian Liaci commits to Villanova Football

The ‘Cats have added some speed to their WR corps.

Class of 2017 defensive back Julian Liaci has committed to the Villanova Wildcats. Liaci gave his verbal while on an unofficial visit to campus on Monday.

Liaci is a 5’10” 165 lb. two-way athlete from Nazareth High School (Pa.). He plays both wide receiver and cornerback in high school, but we expect he’ll line up on the offensive side of the ball in college.

Villanova offered Liaci just over a week ago, and he ended up committing to the Wildcats over offers from Fordham, Lehigh, Albany and Duquesne.

Here are highlights from Liaci’s most recent high school season. He’s a 4x100 state champion in track & field, so he’s got plenty of speed. He hauled in 55 receptions for 663 yards and 7 TDs last season and was named 1st Team All-Conference. He recorded 2 INTs on defense and was named a 2nd Team All-Conference performer on that side of the ball. He should be a dangerous weapon in the slot for the ‘Cats.

Liaci is the third verbal commitment in the 2017 class. He joins QB Kyle McCloskey and RB Chris Chukwuneke.
