CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein got a couple of injury updates from Villanova Wildcats coach Jay Wright, and there’s both good and bad news for ‘Nova Nation.
National Championship hero Phil Booth should be back to full strength in early July. Booth had a successful arthroscopic knee surgery in early May, so he’s right on track after being sidelined for about 8 weeks. No reason to think he’s not at full strength and competing for a starting spot this fall.
Villanova's Phil Booth (knee) is expected to resume full basketball activities during the first week of July, Jay Wright told @CBSSports.

The bearer of bad news is redshirt freshman Tim Delaney. Delaney had to sit out all of last season after double-hip surgery. He was given the dreaded indefinite timeline in mid-January, and it doesn’t look like much has changed.
Villanova's Tim Delaney (hip) still has no set date to resume all basketball related activities, Jay Wright told @CBSSports.

Here’s hoping Tim’s prognosis improves and he can make a contribution this coming season.
