The Villanova National Championship #VictoryTour practically reached its pinnacle on Tuesday when the Wildcats visited The White House to be honored by President Barack Obama.
Standing beside the Leader of the Free World in the East Room would draw equal interest from Sports and Political pundits and head coach Jay Wright did his best to dress for the occasion.
Bringing with him the the reputation of #SuitWatch, and his finest on the day, President Obama made deliberate comments about Wright's sartorial prowess...
We have the best-dressed man in college basketball -- the George Clooney of coaches -- Jay Wright. And today, we celebrate a remarkable team that worked tirelessly to make Coach look good in terms of his job and not just his wardrobe. His tailor and stylist could not make it, but we do have his basketball players here.
And boy did Jay knock this one out of the park. Wright commanded the podium wearing a demure navy-blue two-piece suit that he wore when 'Nova played at DePaul. Underneath, he wore a light-blue shirt and a navy-based striped tie with silver and royal blue stripe that saw the court when the 'Cats hosted the Red Storm this season.
He finished the look off with a white pocket square and a Block V lapel pin.
