In a very surprising move, 2017 point guard Eli Brooks has committed to the Michigan Wolverines per his AAU program.

Just under two weeks ago, Brooks called Villanova his dream school. Villanova evaluated him extensively in the first two July Live Periods and Jay Wright offered Brooks on Sunday night. While Brooks said he was going to take his time and evaluate his options - which included recent offers from NC State and Ohio State - most expected he would eventually end up in 'Nova blue and white.
This is the second 'miss' by Wright's staff at point guard in 2017 after Chris Lykes chose Miami (Fla.). Landing Lonnie Walker would solve the ball-handling need the 'Cats have and allow them to really go after some elite guys in 2018. Collin Sexton and Trevon Duval are still options as well, though given their elite status they may focus on opportunities with more available playing time.
On to the next one!
