Villanova scored their seventh verbal commitment of the 2017 class when New York City defensive end Malik Fisher popped for the Wildcats.
Fisher is a 6’3" 220 pound prospects who plays for Xavier High School (N.Y.). Fisher was offered by Villanova in early June, with the Wildcats being the first school to extend a scholarship offer. Fordham, Maine and New Hampshire followed suit, making this a nice recruiting win over their rivals for the Villanova Football staff.
With Bryan Osei and Tanoh Kpassagnon out of eligibility following this season, the depth chart on the defensive line is going to take a major hit and will need an influx of talent. Fisher gives the class a good start on filling those holes.
Here are highlights from his junior season at Xavier.
