5-star point guard Quade Green cuts list to 9, including Villanova

Neumann-Goretti 5-star point guard Quade Green has cut down his list again. He released a final 9 earlier this evening.

Green previously cut his list to 13 schools. He eliminated Georgetown, Maryland, Virginia and Seton Hall in this round of cuts.

Personally, I’m rather surprised to see Green still including Villanova on his list. While Villanova recruited him in the past, their seems to be a lack of mutual interest. In what is a weak class for point guards, Green is one of the best and seems destined for a blue blood.

Then again, Green did have some very positive things to say about Villanova in this recent interview with 247 Sports ($). I very much doubt the ‘Cats are very active in this recruitment, and their inclusion is most likely for optics. Nice to be mentioned though!
