Villanova Football offers LB Isaiah Watson

Villanova has extended a scholarship offer to outside linebacker Isaiah Watson, per his Twitter. Mark Ferrante confirmed the offer with a retweet.

Watson is a 6’3” 220 lb. prospect who attends Cedar Creek High School in Egg Harbor City (N.J.). We recently spoke of Villanova’s method for identifying linebackers, and Watson looks like a perfect fit for what the staff refers to as MAYHEM.

In addition to having great size, Watson is a fluid athlete who diagnoses plays well. Given his size, he’ll likely end up having the flexibility to play both standing up and with his hand on the ground, much in the mold of current Wildcat Austin Calitro.

Watson also reports offers from Army, Old Dominion, Albany, Central Connecticut St., Monmouth and Wagner.
