5-star guard Lonnie Walker has cut his list to 5 schools. Villanova, Syracuse, Kentucky, Arizona and Miami (FL) remain in contention for Lonnie Walker per the Reading Eagle. Walker later posted this video confirming the news:

Walker has previously said he plans to make decision around the start of his high school season, which would seem to indicate he plans to sign early in November. The Reading (Pa.) product had a productive summer playing for Team Final (Pa.) on the Nike EYBL circuit which led to increased interest from the traditional powers in college basketball.

Now we wait for Walker’s official visit schedule, which should begin sometime in September. Villanova’s annual Hoops Mania event will likely be on Friday October 28, so that’s a good bet for when we might see him visit.
