Should Villanova abandon the Trevon Duval recruitment?

Huuuuuuuuuump Daaaaaaay! We briefly touched on Trevon Duval cutting his list yesterday, and NBC wondered aloud what most people were thinking - why aren't Kentucky and Duke recruiting the best point guard in the class when they both badly need one?

A lot of it has to do with the Under Armour influence on Duval, which he has freely admitted to. Though he remains publicly open, most have him pegged for a UA college program. There are also academic issues swirling from his time at API, though Duval insists he's in good standing with the NCAA and on track.

So why is Villanova after him? They're a Nike school, and they're already having some clearinghouse issues with Omari Spellman. Should they abandon ship?
