Late August is turning into a pivotal month for Villanova, with Jermaine Samuels scheduling an official visit to campus on August 24th. That’s the same day that Jordan Tucker is scheduled to make an unofficial visit, if you’re keeping track.

Samuels is a 6’6” wing currently ranked #46 in the 247 Composite. He finished the summer with a bang which has put him on the radar of the blue bloods. Kansas has joined Indiana, Xavier and UConn with an offer, and Duke is sniffing around as well.
Samuels is one of the top targets left on the board for ‘Nova, and locking in an early visit is a great sign that he may be nearing the end of his recruitment. With things getting crowded in Xavier’s 2017 class, Villanova would seem to be in a great position to close the deal in late August.
