2017 guard Darryl Morsell took an unofficial visit to Villanova last week for Summer Jam, and today he released his final five schools.
Thank you to all the schools that took there time to recruit me. But I will be moving forward with these 5 schools pic.twitter.com/uN725w82Sx

Jay Wright offered him in late July after the Team Melo (Md.) guard had a big summer on the AAU circuit. Morsell attends Mount St. Joseph (Md.), the same school that produced current Wildcats guard Phil Booth.
MADE Hoops' Pat Lawless has an exclusive with Morsell, and here's what he had to say about Villanova:
"As many people know, Villanova is a great guard school," said Morsell. "They produce a lot of talented guards and some of them go onto playing in the league. Villanova guard Phil Booth went to my high school, Mount St. Joseph’s so I know him very well. I really like their style of play and how they use their guards."
It will be interesting to see how this plays out with Morsell. Lonnie Walker is still the top priority, and it appears that Jermaine Samuels may be inching closer to a decision. Will there be room for Morsell? He seems inclined to wait to see how things shake out before making a decision.
