Georgetown's latest basketball promotion is insane, but Villanova could learn a lesson

The Hoyas marketing department is nuts, but they're doing something right (staying in the news).

Happy Tuesday, 'Nova Nation! Georgetown's insane marketing department is at it again, this time centering their baketball promotion around marriage proposals. Because why wouldn't you want scar one of the happiest days of your life with your beloved Hoyas losing at home to a mid-major?

As silly as this all is, Villanova's marketing department could take a hint. Want to drive up football attendance? Maybe come up with a more clever promotion than a food voucher.

Junior forward, Francesca Bello (Princeton, N.J.) has been selected to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor for the week of September 19th, as announced by conference Monday afternoon.

Barbour (Women's Soccer) Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll | Villanova.com
DuringThursdays double overtime 3-2 victory over LaSalle, Barbour scored all three goals. After being down 2-0 at halftime, she netted her first goal in the 71st minute on a feed from Conner Huggins. The goal that tied the game occurred with just a minute and a half remaining in regulation on a pass from Amanda Vocleka. It took until the second overtime but in the 101st minute, Barbour was able to beat the goalkeeper on an inside far shot to give the Wildcats the win.
