Villanova coach Andy Talley spoke with the media on Monday as part of his weekly CAA teleconference duties, and he was the bearer of bad news right out of the gate while recapping the win over Towson.
We’ll have to wait for the depth chart later this week to see how the offensive line is affected, but with Stewart out it is likely that we’ll see redshirt-freshmen Julian Williams fill in. Williams has been mostly limited to special teams this season, but he’s listed as the primary backup to Stewart at free safety and his size (6’3” 195 lbs.) could be a valuable asset.
The full transcipt of Talley’s call can be found here. He speaks highly of Zach Bednarczyk and Javon White, while discussing his thoughts on the upcoming Lafayette game and the homecoming opportunity it provides for several members of the program.
