Going a bit outside of his normal recruiting territory, Jay Wright (and possibly George Halcovage) are in the Midwest to visit not one but two elite prospects.
The ‘Cats will have in-home visits with both Tyler Herro and Courtney Ramey today per Corey Evans and Evan Daniels, respetively.
After hosting Oregon yesterday, Villanova head coach Jay Wright will complete an in-home visit today with top-50 guard Tyler Herro@JoshNaso

Villanova's Jay Wright will visit with five-star guard Courtney Ramey (https://t.co/FswqUyW136) this afternoon, per his father.

Herro is a 6’5” Top-40 guard that is classified as a shooting guard, but has enough ball-handling and playmaking skills to be dangerous if he’s running the show. Herro decommitted from Wisconsin recently and has seen the blue bloods come calling.
Ramey is a 6’3” Top-40 point guard that is a dymanic lead guard with an impressive offensive skill package. Ramey decommitted from Louisville following the FBI investigation and Rick Pitino’s departure.
With the Jahvon Quinerly recruitment up in the air, this may be a sign that the ‘Cats could be looking elsewhere. While Ramey’s ability as a pure point guard may make him a better immediate successor to Jalen Brunson, Herro’s an incredible talent of his own and should be pursued with the same urgency given his ability to play on the ball. And who knows, maybe they’ve got room for both if these guys look like spring signees.
We should get a good indication in the coming days how serious of a player Villanova is, but securing an in-home visit with both is a great sign as these recruitments hit reset and move forward.
