TGIF, ‘Nova Nation! The FBI has apparently let Louisville know that they are free to conduct their own investigation and possibly reinstate Brian Bowen. That’s not to say they will clear him, because Bowen may not be eligible by the NCAA verdict. But this is notable progress.
Which brings me back to Jahvon Quinerly. As not-quite-named player in the probe, Quinerly’s status is up in the air as well. But if the FBI is saying they’re done with Bowen, they’re probably not far off from giving Quinerly the all-clear to work with the NCAA to figure out what’s to come.
Keep an eye on that - I’m still convinced that Villanova is taking a wait and see approach with him. A final decision - whatever that may be - seems like it may be progressing given this news on Bowen.
And now, the “news.”
