At Villanova, however, it appears that Mark Ferrante will opt to use the two-way star at the linebacker position, where he was a first team all-conference pick. According to 247 sports, he is a two-star prospect and is the only other player besides Mikey Taylor that comes to Villanova ranked.
Thomas was a highly sought after prospect, having held offers from UCF, Bowling Green, FIU, UMass, Air Force and Army at the FBS level and James Madison, Delaware and Youngstown State at the FCS level, among others—before verbally committing to Villanova back in August.
The Wildcats graduated three linebackers. Thomas is one of two linebackers coming in, with Quahsin Townsel also coming in.
