Villanova’s ‘No Fly Zone’ seems to be getting another playmaker to add to its secondary. Darius Pickett was a game-changer at the McDonogh School (Md.) and appears to be a perfect fit for the Wildcat defense, now that he’s signed.

Pickett, a 6-foot, defensive back was originally set to attend Fordham. He committed to the Rams back in July, but opted to put himself back on the market this past fall. The two-sport athlete (football and basketball) at McDonogh has ended his search at Villanova.
He is quick, instinctual, and a great in coverage, sticking to his receiver like glue or always trying to be a step ahead and react to the ball first.
