The 6-2, 270 pound defensive lineman has garnered a number of accolades to top off his senior season. So it’s no surprise the all-state player had a number of teams vying for him. He had FBS interest and took visits to a number of schools like UConn, Syracuse, and Rutgers, as well as a few unofficials—Maryland, Michigan State, and Penn State.
Ultimately, he chose Villanova over CAA rivals Delaware and Richmond. Zobel also had Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and FBS schools Ball State and Army in mind. He is a physical player that projects to play at the nose guard for the ‘Cats.
