Not much was said on Thursday from the Villanova camp as the Wildcats stayed in the midwest between their game against DePaul on Wednesday and Saturday’s game in Indianapolis against Butler.
But Jay Wright did send out a tweet.
Thank you @coachsmcclain and the @UICFlamesMBB program for allowing us court time to practice !! pic.twitter.com/1f26Kwq8xN

Astute followers of the coach’s twitter account noticed a cast on freshman guard Jermaine Samuels left hand/wrist.
On Friday, Coach Wright confirmed that Samuels broke his hand and will be out 6-8 weeks.
The 6’5” freshman was coming off a career-game where he tallied 11 points and 3 boards against the Blue Demons.
With Samuels and fellow-freshman Collin Gillespie on the mend, Wright’s options from the bench are severely limited for the next two months. The lack of depth will challenge the ‘Cats as they dive into conference play striving for their fifth consecutive BIG EAST regular season championship.
