Salesianum (Del.) linebacker Josh Patrick has signed his Letter of Intent to play football at Villanova, the school announced this morning.
A 6’1" 220 lb. prospect, Patrick excelled as an OLB and as an edge rusher in high school. He’ll find plenty of opportunity to bring that skillset to a Villanova defense which loves to put pressure on the QB and disrupt the backfield. He was named 1st Team All-Conference and All-State in 2016.
Patrick’s speed could be an immediate asset as a pass-rusher as the ‘Cats look to replace both of their starting defensive ends. He’s got long-term upside as an OLB at Villanova.
