Linebacker Trajan Anderson signs with Villanova Football

Linebacker U is set to continue.

Student Sports

Massaponax (Va.) linebacker Trajan Anderson has signed his Letter of Intent to play football at Villanova, the school announced this morning.

A 6'2" 220 lb. 3-star prospect, Anderson is the crown jewel of the defense in this recruiting class. Anderson was recruited by Army, New Hampshire, Cornell and Holy Cross among others.

He has the ability to play both inside and outside, and was named All-State, All-Region, All-Conference, All-Area and Conference Defensive Player of the Year during his Senior season.

Villanova has had no shortage of outstanding linebackers in recent years with Don Cherry and Austin Calitro both earning All-American honors in back-to-back years. Anderson should carry that tradition on moving forward, and there’s ample playing time available with Calitro, T.J. White and Travis Clark out the door.
