Villanova coach Jay Wright on Thursday was named a finalist for the annual Werner Ladder Naismith Men's College Coach of the Year award.

Wright, a two-time winner of the award (‘06 & ‘16), has guided Villanova to a 32-3 record in a 2017 season that has seen the Wildcats’ fourth consecutive regular season BIG EAST Conference Championship and their second Conference Tournament Championship in three years.

Joining him on this year’s list are Chris Collins (Northwestern), Mark Few (Gonzaga) and Bill Self (Kansas).

Voting will run through the end of the month and the award will be given out at the Naismith Awards annual Final Four Awards Brunch on Sunday, April 2 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
