Villanova’s Josh Hart, Jalen Brunson, Kris Jenkins, and Donte DiVincenzo were all honored on Sunday as the Big East announced their All-Conference teams. The four Wildcats selected were the most players from any one team this season.

Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson were each unanimous selections to the All-Big East First Team. They were two of four unanimous selections this year, the other two being Creighton’s Marcus Foster and Seton Hall’s Angel Delgado. Xavier’s Trevon Bluiett and Butler’s Andrew Chrabascz rounded out the conferences top team.

This is Hart’s second consecutive unanimous pick to the conference’s First Team, and he proved why he was named the preseason Player of the Year. He finished as the league’s leading scorer with 18.2 points in conference. Brunson was a unanimous selection to last year’s Big East All-Freshman Team. He finished first among league guards in shooting percentage at 53.6%, and averaged the second most assists in the league with 4.3 per game. The Big East Player Of The Year will be selected from the First Team, and will be announced later this week at the Big East Tournament.

The All-Big East Second Team was made up of Kelan Martin (Butler), Justin Patton (Creighton), Khadeen Carrington (Seton Hall), Rodney Bullock (Providence), and Kyron Cartwright (Providence). Villanova senior Kris Jenkins was an Honorable Mention along with Georgetown senior Rodney Pryor.

Freshman Donte DiVincenzo was named to the Big East All-Freshman Team. Butler’s Kamar Baldwin and St. John’s dynamic pair of Marcus LoVett and Shamorie Ponds were unanimous selections. Creighton’s Justin Patton, also a member of the All-Big East Second Team, was another unanimous selection. Markus Howard of Marquette rounded out the top rookie team.

The Big East Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, Freshman of the Year, and the Big East Men’s Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year will all be announced at the start of the Big East Tournament on Wednesday, March 8th at 4:30 PM EST. All other individual awards will be announced on Tuesday, March 7th.

Thanks to their #1 Seed in the BET, Villanova’s next game will be at Noon on Thursday, March 9th against the winner of St. John’s and Georgetown.
