When the clock struck midnight last night, college basketball coaches around the country could finally contact members of the 2019 class. One of the first calls for the Villanova Wildcats staff was to guard Jalen Lecque, who will take an unofficial visit to campus today.
Jalen Lecque, a class of 2019 guard playing for the Southern Stampede (GA), will go on an unofficial visit to Villanova today.

Lecque is a 6’4” 175 lb. combo guard and a native of The Bronx (N.Y.), Right now 247 rates him as a 5-star prospect and #14 in the country. Lecque will transfer from Monsignor Scanlan (N.Y.) to The Christ School (N.C.) this year, and is currently playing up a year on the Nike EYBL circuit with Southern Stampede (Ga.).
Lecque has turned into a high-major prospect and holds offers from Florida, Wake Forest, Seton Hall, St. John’s and others after a breakout spring on the AAU circuit. If all goes well on the visit today, one would expect Lecque to receive an offer from Jay Wright as well.
