No commitments yet, but plenty of offers are on the table.

While Villanova Basketball secured their first commitment in Brandon Slater two weeks ago, Villanova Football has yet to land their first verbal in the 2018 cycle.

That’s not uncommon either. Despite college football’s new early signing period, recruiting at the FCS level means landing early commitments is hard as prospects try to prove themselves and earn scholarships at the highest level.

Nonetheless, the Villanova Wildcats staff has been hard at work. With multiple prospect camps upcoming at Villanova Stadium, the staff has already started extending offers.

Here’s a rundown of every offer we know about so far.

Offense

QB Isaiah Jones - La Salle College (Fort Washington, Pa.) - offered May 18th

RB Stevie Scott - Christian Brothers Academy (Syracuse, N.Y.) - offered May 20th

WR Dez Boykin - Whitehall (Whitehall, Pa.) - offered March 25th

OL Justin Johnson - Imhotep (Philadelphia, Pa.) - offered March 7th

OL Matt Rosso - Pennsbury (Fairless Hills, Pa.) - offered May 7th

Defense

DE Rondell Bothroyd - E.O. Smith (Storrs-Mansfield, Conn.) - offered April 30th

DB Shamere Collins - St. Augustine Prep (Richland, N.J.) - offered October 16th, 2016

Specialists

K/P Nathan Fondacaro - St. Augustine Prep (Richland, N.J.) - offered June 6th

With prospects camps scheduled for June 14th and June 20th, plus additional camps on July 26th and 30th, expect football recruiting to pick up in the coming months.
