4-star point guard Elijah Weaver sets official visits to Ohio State and Florida

The 4-star guard will visit two of his favorites in the coming weeks.

More breaking news out of the Under Armour All-American Camp tonight as 4-star point guard Elijah Weaver has set two official visits in the coming weeks. Elevate Hoops’ Julius Kim broke the news on Twitter.

Weaver had planned to announce a Top 5 on Monday but backed off those plans almost immediately after. Setting two official visits in August is a big step forward in his recruitment, but in a recent interview he said he may wait until the winter to make a verbal commitment.

Weaver remains a great option at the point guard spot for Villanova, though the ‘Cats are continuing to recruit Jahvon Quinerly and David Duke for the spot as well.

Weaver continues to speak highly of the Villanova Wildcats and their staff whenever he is interviewed, but no visit. With the UAA All-American Camp in Philadelphia this week it will be interesting to see if Weaver swings by campus to meet with Wright and his staff for an unofficial visit.
