Weaver had previously announced official visits to the Ohio State Buckeyes and Florida Gators. That leaves the Florida prospect with two more official visits. Weaver discussed a possible commitment by the end of the summer this week, and the end of September is looking like his timeline for a decision at this time.
Weaver has already taken an unofficial visit to Villanova - and was just in Philadelphia for the Under Armour All-American Camp this week - but it remains possible he could trip to the Main Line again for an official visit.
Villanova is still searching for a point guard to round out its 2018 class, with 5-star Jahvon Quinerly and 4-star David Duke joining Weaver as the primary targets. Head coach Jay Wright spent this week watching both Quinerly and Weaver at various events in the area.
