Villanova Football will hold a summer scrimmage on the Jersey Shore

TGIF, ‘Nova Nation! Kudos to new head football coach Mark Ferrante for coming up with something fresh to get Villanova Wildcats alumni and fans involved. As part of summer training camp, he’s going to hold a team scrimmage on the Jersey Shore.

I have no idea if this will draw more fans to Villanova Stadium, but I’m ready to give props for trying something different. Good on ya, Coach!

Four student-athletes from Villanova were among the winners of BIG EAST Scholar-Athlete Sport Excellence Awards which were announced by the conference on Wednesday afternoon. Recognized from the Wildcats were Todd Czinege (baseball), Patrick Tiernan (mens cross country), Angel Piccirillo (womens cross country) and Emily Mayo (womens swimming & diving).
