Some news that could impact Villanova Wildcats recruiting plan for this cycle broke last night, as 2019 5-star point guard Andrew Nembhard announced he would be reclassifying into the 2018 class.
High Major point guard Andrew Nembhard from Montverde Academy (FL)/UPlay Canada has decided to reclassify from the class of 2019 to 2018.

Nembhard attends Montverde Academy (Fla.) and plays on the EYBL for UPLAY Canada. The Canadian native stands 6’4” and is highly regarded, ranking #18 overall in the 2019 class.
Villanova offered Nembhard last July as part of their 2019 recruiting plan. Rumors have been circulating for a couple of months that Nembhard (as well as all-everything teammate and compatriot R.J. Barrett) was looking to make the jump to 2018.
It stands to reason that this could be another option for Villanova in their pursuit of a point guard to finish off the 2018 class. But before you get too excited, it seems like Villanova isn’t one of the schools that have been in frequent contact with Nembhard.
Something to keep an eye on as Villanova could decide to ramp up their pursuit in a bid to finish off this class with a #bang, but the staff may opt to continue their focus on Jahvon Quinerly, David Duke, Jalen Carey and Elijah Weaver instead.
