It has been talked about for a few weeks, and 5-star Cam Reddish has officially cut down his list of suitors to a final five schools.

It’s a major step forward for one of the most prized prospects in basketball. Reddish has opined about deciding early and waiting until the spring - he’s currently leaning towards the former - and with AAU season finally complete he should begin to take official visits in the coming weeks.
The battle for Reddish has been thought to be between Duke, Kentucky and Villanova for some time. Duke has been the perceived leader but time spent with John Calipari at USA Basketball this summer seems to have given Kentucky a boost in his recruitment.
Jay Wright hasn’t typically targeted one-and-done talents at Villanova, but he would certainly make an exception for Reddish. He’s a great student, has positional flexibility to play the 1-4 and is a supreme talent that should be able to blend in immediately and impact a game without dominating the ball.
Time will tell, but Villanova will get their shot at the best Philadelphia prospect in years.
