As Villanova narrows its focus on point guard targets, priority target David Duke has taken a major step forward in his recruitment by announcing his final 5 schools via Twitter.

Rivals spoke with Duke about the schools on his list, and here’s what he had to say about Villanova.
“Coach (Jay) Wright said that when I come in, they would have an open point guard spot, so it is a great opportunity there and it is a great school, both academically and athletically.”
Being a native of the city, Duke has long been thought to be a Providence lean and his AAU teammate A.J. Reeves’ commitment to the Friars has only advanced that perception.
Villanova appears to be in this race though. The Wildcats offered Duke in May and Duke has been receptive of the ‘Cats pitch which looks like it is starting to center around available playing time.
While he’s still developing as a point guard, Duke’s upside at the position appears to be very high. At 6’3” he possesses excellent size for the position and he’s a gifted athlete with excellent defensive skills. He already has Friars fans dreaming of the second-coming of Kris Dunn.
With his final 5 being set, expect visits to be scheduled shortly and a decision to come this fall.
