Lecque is a 4-star point guard from New York who is currently ranked #46 Nationally in the 247 Composite. He played this past season at Monsignor Scanlan but will be transferring to Christ School (N.C.) for the upcoming school year. He played a year up with Southern Stampede on this year’s EYBL circuit.
Lecque first hit our radar when he visited Villanova earlier this Summer. At 6’4” and 175 lbs. he has fantastic size at the guard position, and he used this spring and summer to showcase his freakish athleticism on the court. He’s a relentless attacker, and he’s worked hard to improve his outside shooting in the past year.
Given Lecque’s quick rise, this is a smart offer for Villanova. He’ll likely continue to blow up, but Jay Wright has done good work to get in this recruitment early.
