You might remember when Weaver called Villanova his dream school a year or so ago. This would have been a big surprise a few months ago, but of late it has seemed like Jay Wright and the staff have cooled on Weaver, likely due to his shooting woes over the summer.
Weaver is ranked #35 in the country by 247sports composite rankings and is the eighth ranked point guard.
Jay Wright and staff will hope to find their point guard of the future in David Duke, Jalen Carey, or Cam Reddish. Carey has already taken an official visit to Miami and starts one at UCONN today. He will reportedly officially visit Villanova in late September. Duke is taking an official visit to Florida starting September 22nd, and that is his only currently scheduled visit.
