It’s a great day to be a Wildcat afterall! North Penn (Pa.) tight end Owen Thomas has verbally committed to the Villanova Wildcats football program. Thomas announced the decision on Twitter tonight.

Thomas is a 6’4” 225 lb. prospect that plays tight end and linebacker for his high school, but likely projects as a tight end at the next level given his height.
Thomas is a highly sought after prospect, having held offers from UCF, Bowling Green, FIU, UMass, Air Force and Army at the FBS level and James Madison, Delaware and Youngstown State at the FCS level, among others..
He was named 1st Team All-League during his junior season. He’s got good speed for the position and very soft hands. He looks like he can be a a threat for nearly anywhere on the field, which should be a great weapon in Villanova’s spread offense.
Thomas is the 5th verbal commitment in the class of 2018 for Villanova. Welcome to ‘Nova Nation, Owen!
