The good vibes kept rolling on Labor Day as offensive lineman James Petrovcik committed to the Villanova Wildcats football program. He announced the commitment on Twitter.

Make no mistake, this is a massive recruiting win for the ‘Nova staff. In addition to beating out CAA rivals James Madison, William & Mary and Delaware, Petrovcik also held FBS offers from UCF and Buffalo.
Petrovcik is a 6’4” 280 lb. prospect who has primarily lined up as a left tackle for Seton Hall Prep in New Jersey. Given his frame he offers positional flexibility at either tackle or guard at the college level.
He already shows good footwork in pass protection, and displays solid timing on a variety of plays screens and misdirections. He’s got a nasty streak as well and isn’t shy about finishing blocks late in the play.
As far as offensive line prospects go this Petrovcik looks much closer to game-ready than project. He’s got starter potential down the road.
Welcome to ‘Nova Nation, James!
