Jeremiah Robinson-Earl down to Villanova and Kansas; decision imminent?

Can Jay Wright land the final piece of his vaunted 2019 class?

5-star forward Jeremiah Robinson-Earl has cut his list to a final two schools, and a decision seems likely in the coming weeks with the early signing period occuring in mid-November.

Robinson-Earl was previously down to a final 5, and took an official visit to all 5 schools. According to Eric Bossi at Rivals, only Kansas and Villanova remain in contention for his signature.

It’s looking more and more like Robinson-Earl will be one of the next big-name four men to make his decision. We’ve been saying for a week or so that he is in decision-mode and the first step was chopping Arizona, North Carolina and Notre Dame from his list after making official visits. Kansas has been considered the team to beat for some time, but Villanova has made a strong case to get this deep into the recruitment. It’s a closer call than many figured it would be.

That’s great news for ‘Nova Nation, which is banking on landing a forward to compliment an already impressive class of Eric Dixon (58), Justin Moore (49) and Bryan Antoine (12).

No decision date has been announced yet, but this seems to be trending in the right direction with Kansas and Bill Self under heavy scrutiny following the Adidas trial in New York City this week where new allegations surfaced surrounding Silvio De Sousa and Zion Williamson’s recruitments to Kansas.

Let’s hope Jay Wright can close this one out and finish off arguably his best class ever.
