VUHoops will be kicking off the 2018-19 Villanova Basketball season with an entire month of team coverage. Check in every day for new player previews, schedule breakdowns, team analysis, event recaps, and season predictions as we get closer to the first tip-off of the year!
After running through our player previews the last few weeks, we asked Nova Nation to vote on how the Villanova roster will perform this upcoming season. You all responded with your thoughts and opinions on how the scoring would be spread out, and after thousands of votes were cast we have our results. Here are your projected scoring leaders for the Villanova Wildcats:

*Joe Cremo averaged 17.8 PPG with Albany last season.
**Dylan Painter was a red shirt last season, and averaged 0.9 PPG in the 2016-17 season.
Here’s a few quick observations on the results:
- Nova Nation may be a bit optimistic about these young Wildcats, as the collective 90.9 PPG would be more than 4 points better than last year’s actual 86.6 PPG.
- Eric Paschall is projected to be the team’s leading scorer, averaging just 0.1 PPG more than fellow captain Phil Booth.
- Speaking of Booth, he’s projected to receive the biggest boost in scoring this year, jumping up by 5 PPG.
- Joe Cremo is the only player projected to take a step back this season, which makes sense after averaging 17.8 PPG with Albany last season.
Stay tuned all week as we continue the countdown to next week’s season tip-off!
