Big East Media Day has come and gone, and that means the State of the Nova Nation is back for the 2018-19 season!
We will be releasing a new episode twice a week. As always, you can ask questions that you would want to see discussed on the show by adding them in the comments section or tweeting @SoNNpod. Thanks to your support last year, we cracked Pod-O-Matic’s Top 10 weekly sports podcasts rankings 20 times and we were consistently top 75 on iTunes/Apple Podcasts’ college/high school show rankings. We hope to entertain you once again on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The podcast is available on Apple Podcasts, Google Play Music, and now Spotify! (This episode should be on there later today.) You can also listen/download today’s episode straight from Pod-O-Matic.
Episode Description: The State of the Nova Nation is back for 2018! Per tradition, the first episode comes after Big East Media Day and a bunch of preseason storylines surrounding the Villanova Wildcats. The men’s and women’s basketball teams were well-represented on the conference’s Big East preseason polls. Thoughts from Jay Wright on one-and-dones, starting five, and the new G-League alternative. Phil Booth and Eric Paschall share their progress report on this loaded freshmen class, and which freshman will turn some heads this season. As for the women’s basketball team, they’re hungry to get back to the NCAA Tournament and discuss why they should be able to go dancing at the end of the season.
